VILLAGE OF SUSSEX IS ACCEPTING RESUME'S FOR OPEN VILLAGE TRUSTEE POSITION
The Village of Sussex has an immediate opening for a Village Trustee Position to fill the remaining term vacated by Greg Goetz who was elected to the office of Village President. The Village Board has determined to fill the position by accepting résumé’s from residents of the Village of Sussex for that position, which runs through the middle of April 2012.
The Résumé’s must be submitted to the Village Hall, N64W23760 Main Street, Attn: Sussex Trustee Position by Monday May 16th. Upon review of the résumé’s and possible interviews a nomination will be brought forward to the Village Board.
The position is part time and receives a nominal stipend per meeting. The Village Board has indicated a strong desire to have a candidate who will focus on the good of the entire community, bring forth new and diverse viewpoints, have a track record of collaborative leadership, and intend to run for the office seat in the spring local elections of 2012. DRUG COLLECTION

The Waukesha County Drug Free Communities Coalition sponsors a biannual drug collection to dispose of unused and expired controlled and uncontrolled substances. The goals of gathering unused medication include: reducing prescription drug abuse, preventing accidental poisonings, protection of local waterways, and raising awareness of the dangers or prescription drug abuse.
Acceptable drop-off items include: Prescription medication, Over the counter medication, Ointments, Sprays, Inhalers, Creams, Vials, Herbals, Pet medications and Mercury.
Do NOT bring: Bio-hazardous material, Household hazardous waste, Prescription Drug Samples, Personal Hygiene Products - shampoo, soap, toothpaste and deodorant.
The drop-off sites for the collection include:
- Brookfield (Ruby Isle Shopping Center)
- Menomonee Falls (Community Memorial Hospital)
- Mukwonago (ProHealth Care in Mukwonago)
- Oconomowoc (Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital)
- Pewaukee (Waukesha County Technical College)

The reconstruction project in Spring Green (North) will include addressing water, sewer, storm-sewer, drainage and roadway issues. Clover Drive will remain open during the project and it is recommended that you enter and exit the subdivision from Clover Drive whenever possible.

- Repair designated catch basins and manholes
- Restore lawns and grasses where necessary
- Remove top 2 inches of existing asphalt pavement (Diamond grind concrete pavement at Waukesha Ave/Good Hope Road intersection)
- Complete base patching
- Install pavement
